Make yourself at home

Play at your pace. There are no lives, timers or streak penalties, and help is always available free.

Find a word

New word-search puzzles show a theme and the words to find. Find the listed words to reveal a Scripture card with the complete source passage and citation. Scroll a long card to keep reading, save it for later, or choose Next puzzle. Your discovered verses remain in Collection.

Drag between a word’s first and last letters, then lift your finger. Or tap its two endpoints. Either end works. On larger boards, the board’s pan controls help you reach the remaining letters.

With a keyboard, Tab to the board, move with the arrow keys, and press Enter or Space at each endpoint. Home and End move within a row. Escape clears a pending selection.

Journey introduces backward words after 5 completed puzzles and diagonals after 12. How to play explains the directions for your current board. Settings also offers gentle directions.

Word points and coins

In new puzzles, each listed word you find earns 1 word point. Tap its pill to open free answer help. Confirming that help finds the word for 0 points. Help never takes away points you already earned.

Found pills have a check mark. Swipe the pill row sideways to reach more words; the edge arrow helps when more are out of view. With a pill focused, Left/Right and Home/End move between words.

On the first completion of a word-search puzzle, you earn 20 base coins plus one coin per word point. For example, six listed words found without answer help earn 20 + 6 = 26 coins. The completion shows your actual breakdown. Reopening a completed puzzle cannot pay again.

Use coins for optional colors through the coin balance or Settings. You can also earn those palettes through Daily play. Scripture and free clues never require coins, payment or an advertisement.

Older saved mystery puzzles

An unfinished mystery puzzle keeps its original clues and scoring. Each unknown pill starts with a question mark and letter count. Find the word without a clue for 3 word points. Tap its pill once to reveal the first letter for 2 points, again to reveal the full word for 1 point, and again to open free answer help. Confirming that help finds the word for 0 points. Six words found without clues in an older mystery puzzle earn 20 + 18 = 38 coins on its first completion.

Unknown, first-letter, full-word and found pills use different colors. Showing all names in Settings gives these older puzzles Classic play; exposed names count as full-word clues.

In an older mystery puzzle, Read full verse opens the whole clue at a larger size, with missing words staying hidden until found. The completed passage preserves the exact source wording and citation. Long clues scroll slowly after a pause; touch the clue or choose Pause to stop. Replay starts from the top. Reduced motion keeps the clue still.

Daily moments and your collection

Daily Quiet Moments contain three puzzles and an earned painting. An unfinished set keeps its displayed date until you finish. Every completed date counts, even if your visits are weeks apart. Palettes unlock after 7, 14 and 28 completed sets; you never lose progress for missing a day.

The Daily navigation shows New Daily, your set’s progress, or a completion check. In Daily phone play, tap the dated heading for set details. An older unfinished set stays available; today’s set is available after you finish it.

New sets favor unfamiliar Scripture and word combinations. The pool is finite, so familiar verses eventually return on fresh boards. A completed date keeps its original puzzles and painting. Journey and Daily progress are separate.

Collection brings together discovered verses, saved bookmarks, keepsakes and Journey chapters. Search by words or a Scripture reference, choose a book, or use Saved only to find your bookmarks. “Psalm 23:5” also finds the source’s “Psalms 23:5.” Twelve verses appear first; Show more adds the next group without changing your place. Clear filters returns to the whole collection.

Word Bloom

After 10 Journey puzzles, choose Bloom in the main navigation to try a different word game. There are 84 saved gardens on eleven shelves. The letters start mixed up; an unsuccessful drag clears when you lift your finger. It resumes your selected garden; Collection also provides an invitation and flower album.

Connect the six or seven shown letters to make words of at least three letters. Drag through letters and lift to submit, tap letters then choose Add word, or type and press Enter. Each letter can be used only as many times as it appears. Drag back one letter to undo. For taps or typing, use the backspace button beside your word, or tap the last selected letter again. Clear removes the whole draft. Shuffle changes positions, not answers.

Six flower words complete a garden. Their pills offer free clue stages: unknown, first letter, full word, then confirmed answer help. Flower words earn 3, 2, 1 or 0 points at those stages. Other accepted words are extras. The reviewed list is not a complete dictionary; unlisted words cost nothing and are never counted as mistakes.

A garden’s first completion earns 20 base coins plus its flower-word points. The first six extras add one coin each once the flower is complete. Extras found afterward pay immediately up to that same six-coin cap. Further discoveries are for enjoyment. The Extras panel shows coins waiting or earned, and groups your discoveries by length.

Every garden remembers its words and rewards. Choose any shelf or follow Next garden to an unfinished flower. The Scripture button shows the exact source passage; reading its anchor counts as a full-word clue. Other answers are ordinary words, not Scripture quotations.

Word Gather

After 20 Journey puzzles, choose Gather in the main navigation. Sixteen words hide four groups. Select four words that belong together, then choose Gather four. Correct groups settle into named rows. A wrong guess keeps your selection so you can swap one word; there are unlimited tries and no timer.

Forty-four original puzzles move from familiar categories into common word pairs and phrases. Complete a puzzle to unlock the next. Free clues reveal a category, then two words, then offer confirmed answer help. Groups earn 3, 2, 1 or 0 points at those stages. The first completion pays 20 base coins plus the group points. Replays keep the first reward and do not pay again.

Your exact tile order, selected words, clues and paused replay are saved. Shuffle keeps your selection. Arrow keys move between tiles, Enter or Space selects one, and Escape clears the selection. Home and End reach the first and last word. Tab reaches the actions. Navigation stays available when enlarged text makes the central board scroll.

Update an older installed edition before importing a Gather backup. Older editions pause saving when they encounter its newer format, preserving the stored copy until you update.

Save, move and recover

Progress saves in this browser on this site. Before clearing browser data or changing devices, open Settings → Export progress and keep the file somewhere you trust. It includes your puzzles, gardens, collection, coins and game settings. Import backup compares Journey, Daily, bookmarks, Bloom progress and coins with your current session before you confirm. The file replaces your progress; it does not combine the two copies. Cancel leaves your current progress unchanged.

If files are unavailable, open Settings → Progress → Use backup text instead. Copy backup text provides the same validated backup to keep privately. Paste backup text lets you review it before choosing Replace current progress. If clipboard access fails, select the text and use your device’s copy menu. A requested download is not confirmation that your browser saved a file.

If saving fails, keep the tab open and export your session. If another tab has newer progress, export anything you want to keep before choosing Reload saved progress. A damaged save may offer Recover local copy. This is one best-effort local copy, not cloud backup. Do not clear site data to fix an update.

Play offline and install

Check the offline status in Settings and wait for the game to be ready before disconnecting. On iPhone, open the game in Safari, choose Share, then Add to Home Screen. Other browsers may offer Install or an equivalent menu option. Installation availability depends on your browser.

An installed game gives you more screen space. In the browser, the full-screen control can hide browser controls where supported. Your browser may reserve that feature for installed apps. The game remains playable without installing.

When a new edition is ready, finish your move and choose Update now. Progress stays on the same site. If saving is unavailable, export a backup before refreshing. Offline files and saves are local to this browser and can be removed by browser cleanup.

Comfort and accessibility

Settings offers soft dark mode, high contrast and reduced motion. Your device’s reduced-motion preference is also respected. Use browser zoom or text-size controls for larger text. Keyboard, tap and drag alternatives remain available. Use Contact to report an obstacle.

Read your collected verses

In Collection, choose Read verse on any passage. Previous verse and Next verse follow your current search and book results, including verses beyond the visible page. Larger text remembers your preference. You can save or unsave a verse while reading; Return to collection brings you back to your list.

Check for a fresh edition

Open Settings and choose Check for updates. It can bring back an update you postponed with Later. Checking keeps your current game open; Update now applies the downloaded edition when your progress is safely saved. If you are offline or a check fails, you can keep playing and try again when connected.

If the game cannot open

If the opening screen stays visible, check your connection and choose Try again. A rendering problem may show a recovery screen instead; export this session first to keep a copy of your latest moves, then retry. Neither recovery action clears your browser data. Help is available even when game scripts cannot load.
